Hello everyone! My name is Sidney Troy and I am an English teacher at 8 a.m. English in Chongqing, China. I recently relocated to China from the great state of Texas in the United States. I decided to partake in this adventure to pursue my passion for teaching, and to experience the great cultural offerings within the People’s Republic of China. I have always been an active proponent of the opportunities that education may provide, and I have served in several instructional capacities in the past.
I received my bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Government and a minor in Rhetoric and Writing. During my undergraduate career, I was named a Distinguished College Scholar, earned High Honors, ranked within the top 3% of students, and was nominated to join the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society.
If you see me around the office, don’t hesitate to say hello! |

Hello, My name is Wendy. I am an English teacher from China.
My life experience made me believe that English, as a language, really can open a bigger world for our young generation in China. Children need to know there is a big world out there waiting for them to explore. English, definitely, is the key to this big world.
As a teacher here at 8am, I prefer to inspire our children and encourage them to take the initiative in learning. My teaching is focused on the application of the language including the pronunciations, the communication skills. Besides, I would love to share my overseas stories with our young generations, as I used to live abroad and work all over the world and experienced different cultures.
I am sincerely inviting you to join our 8am’s family, a better place for children to get the world closer. children deserve it! |

Hello petals! I’m Jenny, lived in the “sunniest” place called England for 7 years. Teaching children English is great fun to me. I love seeing the smile on their faces, it always makes my day.
As a teacher in 8am English, I can strongly feel the responsibility to help the students enjoy learning English more than ever.
I believe that never underestimate the children’s intelligence; English could be their second mother language while they are “playing”.
I am looking forward to see you at 8am English. |
